Description

CAAI-S and CAAI cables are made up of two or three phase conductors plus one or two lighting conductors wired around a support (support). The phase and lighting conductors are made of hard tempered aluminum. The support is a galvanized steel cable, class A, type Extra High Strength (EHS) for type CAAI-S cables and aluminum alloy for type CAAI cables. The conductors and support are insulated with Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE). The phase conductors are differentiated by ribs extruded longitudinally on the insulation. Characteristics Reduce energy theft, cross-linked polyethylene allows greater current capacity, high insulation resistance, and lower inductive reactance than with bare conductors, used in overhead distribution lines. Greater safety due to the mechanical resistance and hardness of the insulation. The use of insulators is not required for installation. Resistant to abrasion, weather, and sun rays.
The Cable Autoportante in English means self-supporting cables, CAAl-S, are used for low power distribution overheadnetworks cost. in urban and rural areas.
Cable Autoportante is installed both in posts and attached to wals, in both cases, with the necessary accessories.They do’not require the use of insulators.
