Cable Description
The EAYY is a 0.6/1kV low voltage unarmoured power cable used in a range of industries, including renewable energy and petrochemicals. The PVC insulation and sheath are ideal for where the cable may be exposed to changes in temperature. The PVC sheath is durable and offers protection against UV radiation and a resistance to chemicals including oils, acids and alkalis. The cable is flame retardant and can be used indoors, outdoors, in water or underground.The EAYY cable has either class 1 solid sectorial (SE) or class 2 stranded round (RM) or sectorial (SM) Aluminium conductors. The lightweight nature of aluminium compared to that of a copper conductor, provides for easier handling during installation. The PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) insulation and sheathing are ideal for applications where the cable may be exposed to high or low temperatures. The sheathing offers protection against UV radiation (Ultraviolet), helping to prevent degradation over the course of the cable lifespan. The PVC materials also provide chemical stability, a robust durability, and a resistance to chemicals including oils, acids and alkalis.
Flame retardant, the cable is also CPR compliant for fixed installation in accordance with EN-50575.
